Since I arrived in Montreal I got into Japanese food. Sushi, gyozas, yakitori, and of course ramen. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants in town, most of them with the izakaya style. Better gets when the restaurant offers a hall visual experience with not only delicious food, impressive dish presentation, unique crockery but also inspired in Kill Bill film.
Hanzo makes you feel that you are literally in the movie. Located in Old Port, this Japanese restaurant immerse you in that fiction universe as soon as you open the heavy curtain. The furniture, the light and the decoration make you feel that you are literally going to have dinner with the Crazy 88.
The place doesn’t have a minimum space wall empty. Posters, led signs, mini sculptures, books, paintings. You will find something amazing everywhere.
The concept of the restaurant is to share, ordering different tapas. The dishes ‘for the picture’ and extremely delicious are Miso Ramen, Takoyaki, Tono tonato, Don tartar and Gyoza Kuro.
It is an excellent option to go with friends and have the Sake bomb experience!
